Don’t confuse the Mission and the Method

As Mission Impossible puts it, “Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is _________________”

You will plan the mission later. When writing down the brand purpose, you are simply clarifying what the mission is. Not planning the mission.

If your mission is to give housing to all single moms, don’t ask where you will get land now. Or who you should partner with.

Just set out to clarify the mission.

This is your True North. Without it, you won’t know which methods to accept and which ones not to. You won’t know which partnerships to get into and which ones not to.

This is WHY your brand exists. It better be clear.
